Start of the prospective COaT-SCI register

From 1 May 2015 onward we collect prospective data about our treatment concepts. After a detailed personal information of the patients and their family members and after obtaining their consent to being included in the prospective COaT-SCI register, we register all patients with a recent spinal cord injury. These can be compared with data registered retrospectively back to 2011 in order to perform an internal validation of the data. The longitudinal design of the study makes it possible to present the course of the patients’ care and compare the effects of multimodality treatment concepts.
